A Class Above

I had the incredible opportunity to capture this beautiful girl for her senior pictures. I have known her since she was in elementary school and the fact that I am taking her senior pictures is wild! Also, the fact that my oldest is a freshman this year, just makes it all unreal.

She is an amazing soccer player, earning a full scholarship to college to play soccer. So of course we had to get a few shots at the high school athletic field. We played around with the net, switching out jerseys, and captured some memories at her high school field. It was a great learning experience for me, working more athletic images and trying to beat the morning sun.

Later that same day we met at Sundance Square. This was the first time I had worked with a client Downtown. Oh my goodness, it was so fun! There were countless opportunities to take pictures. I loved shooting at the Scat Jazz Lounge alley way. It has a crazy, cool urban feel. The tree lined sidewalks surrounding Sundance Square provided beautiful lines to frame her with. Finally, we literally walked around the block, stopping to take a few more images as we went. It was one of the most relaxed sessions I had done in awhile. Now, I can't wait for the next opportunity to go back to downtown. There were several places on my list that we never made it to.

I am so grateful to help her capture these memorable images!
