WHAT IS LIFESTYLE PHOTOGRAPHY?
Lifestyle photography captures life, emotions, and the extra-ordinary in the ordinary. Does your family have a fun game to play in the backyard or are you avid gardeners? Let me capture that! Splashing in puddles, sidewalk chalk, or bubbles, I am ready! Does your family enjoy cooking together, do you have a newborn, a favorite toy your family enjoys at home? Show me and let me capture that experience. Document your days together, your memories are precious and need to be captured to tell the story years from now.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Plan your family’s outfits a few days before your session. Start with your outfit first, then plan your children’s and your spouse’s around your outfit. Wear what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. It is fine to coordinate your choices, but please refrain from matching outfits. If possible, avoid white and large logos. There will be moments where you are sitting, standing, walking, holding each other, and maybe even dancing or chasing. Please dress accordingly. If it is difficult to get up and down in your outfit, or it is too tight or too short, please do not wear it. Finally, clothing with texture, movement, small print, and color work well. I love when clients choose to mix patterns and colors. Accessories look great in photos!
I WANT YOU TO COME TO MY HOUSE, BUT IT IS NOT PERFECT…
This is so common! If you have natural light in your home, you will be amazed with the tender moments captured. It is not about being perfect, it’s about capturing your family’s story in the heart of your home.
DO YOU GIVE ALL IMAGES IN BOTH COLOR AND BLACK AND WHITE?
I do not do this. I choose what I prefer for the image. You will receive a mix of black and white images and color images. If you want an image opposite to what I prepare, just ask and I can make a quick edit. If you strongly dislike black and white images, let me know prior to your session.
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
You will receive your images 2-3 weeks after your session.
